Monterey Peninsula Surgery Center Join Our Team:
Per Diem PACU Registered Nurse - Overnight Coverage Are you an experienced PACU nurse looking for a flexible schedule and the opportunity to provide exceptional patient care in an outpatient surgery setting? We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Per Diem PACU Registered Nurse to provide overnight postoperative care. What You'll Do Provide professional nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures. Perform comprehensive postoperative assessments and ongoing patient monitoring. Assess airway, respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological, and pain status. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and emergencies. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and clinical team members to ensure safe, high-quality patient care. Deliver patient and family education regarding postoperative recovery and discharge planning.
Required:
Current and unrestricted California RN license. Current BLS and ACLS certifications. Minimum of two (2) years of recent experience in PACU, ICU, Critical Care, or Emergency Department nursing. Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills. PALS certification.
