Schedule/Hours:
Travel position; flexible assignment durations
Key Qualifications:
Current and valid RN license Minimum one year of recent Med-Surg experience preferred Proficiency in patient assessment and care planning Strong medication administration and documentation skills Familiarity with hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control Effective communication using SBAR and multidisciplinary collaboration
Primary Responsibilities:
Assess patients at admission and throughout hospital stay, considering physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs Develop, review, and update individualized care plans based on ongoing reassessments Administer medications safely, observing for effectiveness and side effects Perform procedures following standard precautions, hospital policies, and sterile technique Thoroughly document care, addressing pain management, discharge planning, education, and progress Educate patients and families per assessed needs using appropriate resources such as Krames Analyze diagnostic data, report changes, and intervene as needed Uphold patient rights, safety, and confidentiality at all times Participate in multidisciplinary care planning and follow National Patient Safety Goals Remain compliant with hospital disaster plans and emergency response protocols
