Santa Rosa, CA Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract assignment in an acute care hospital. Candidates must have recent experience in both Labor & Delivery and Postpartum care . Requirements Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required Labor and Postpartum experience required Active RN license required Pending licenses not accepted First-time travelers considered Local candidates not accepted Required Certifications
ACLS BLS NRP AWHONN
Intermediate Preferred Certifications AWHONN Advanced Patient Ratio 1:3 Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring, delivering, and postpartum patients. Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor and delivery. Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and postpartum recovery. Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols. Educate patients and families regarding labor, delivery, recovery, and newborn care. Collaborate with obstetricians, neonatologists, anesthesiasts, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes. Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record system.
