The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care to individuals recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of inpatient care, the ability to monitor vital signs, and the skills necessary for effective triage and health coaching. Duties Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition as they recover from anesthesia. Provide immediate post-operative care, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Assist with ventilatory support for patients requiring respiratory assistance. Conduct thorough assessments of patients' conditions, including pain management and recovery progress. Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, health coaching, and recovery expectations. Maintain sterile processing protocols to prevent infections during the recovery phase. Document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately in electronic health records.
What You'll Do:
Perform comprehensive physical assessments to guide individualized care plans Deliver expert nursing interventions that promote optimal outcomes Manage pain and comfort with precision and empathy Administer medications safely and effectively Skills Strong knowledge of outpatient care practices and procedures. Proficient in assessing vital signs and recognizing abnormal findings. Ability to perform triage effectively in urgent care situations. Familiarity with internal medicine principles to support diverse patient needs. Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and collaboration with healthcare teams. Commitment to maintaining a sterile environment during patient recovery processes. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple patients efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Multi-specialty PACU
  • including General Surgery, GI, Podiatry, Gynecology, ENT, Urology Join our team of healthcare professionals dedicated to providing exceptional patient care in the Pre-Operative and PACU setting!
