• 55/hour Heartwood House Detox, a private, licensed residential detox facility with locations in San Rafael and Novato, is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented nurse (LVN or RN) to join our team.

This is not a job for someone who wants to simply clock in and out; our work is deeply human. We support individuals during one of the most vulnerable times in their lives, and we are looking for someone who shares our sense of purpose. As a nurse at Heartwood House Detox, you will provide essential care to clients during the earliest and most critical stages of recovery. Perform and document 15-minute and 30-minute patient safety rounds throughout the shift Monitor and assist detoxing patients overnight Complete nursing assessments, admissions, and discharges Obtain and document vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respirations, temperature, and oxygen saturation Monitor withdrawal symptoms using COWS and CIWA assessments Administer medications as ordered and monitor patient responses Document patient care and observations in

KIPU EMR

Collect samples for testing as needed Communicate patient concerns and status changes to physicians and supervising nurses Maintain a safe, supportive, and professional environment for all clients

Qualifications:

• Current California LVN or RN license in good standing.
• A minimum of one year of nursing experience is preferred.
• Detox or addiction treatment experience is a plus.
• Strong multitasking skills and the ability to remain composed in crisis situations are essential.
• An empathetic, non-judgmental approach to patient care is crucial.
• Clear communication and collaboration are key.
• Reliability, punctuality, and professionalism in demeanor are expected.
• Proof of a recent TB test is required.
