Week Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Pediatric Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team. In this role, you will provide specialized nursing care to pediatric patients recovering from anesthesia following surgical and diagnostic procedures. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical-thinking skills, excellent assessment abilities, and experience caring for pediatric patients in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and assess pediatric patients during the immediate post-anesthesia recovery phase. Provide comprehensive nursing care to ensure patient comfort, safety, and optimal recovery outcomes. Assess airway, respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological, and pain management needs. Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered. Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and emergency situations. Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Educate patients and families regarding post-operative care, discharge instructions, and recovery expectations. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record. Adhere to hospital policies, infection prevention standards, and patient safety protocols.
Requirements:
2 years of experience Epic Experience BLS (AHA) PALS CPAN- Preferred Comfortable with the float RN License Covid+
Booster Pay:
$2,400.00 - $2,700.00 per week Application Question(s): Do you have at least 2 years of recent Pediatric PACU nursing experience? Do you have experience using Epic EMR? Do you currently hold a valid BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)? Do you currently hold a valid Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification? Do you hold a Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN) certification? Are you comfortable with floating? Do you have an active and unrestricted RN license? Are you able to provide proof of
COVID-19
vaccination and booster?
