Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Infusion Nurse with light administrative duties to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will provide expert infusion therapy, including IV infusions and medication administration, while also supporting administrative tasks to ensure seamless patient care operations. Responsibilities Administer IV infusions, injections, and medications accurately following established protocols and aseptic techniques. Monitor patient vital signs, assess their condition during treatments, and respond promptly to any adverse reactions or complications. Maintain detailed and accurate medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with patient assessments, including physical examinations and evaluating treatment responses. Support light administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and coordinating treatment plans with healthcare providers. Educate patients on infusion procedures, post-treatment care, and medication instructions to promote understanding and compliance. Ensure infection control standards are upheld through proper sterilization techniques and aseptic procedures during all clinical activities. Experience Proven experience as an infusion nurse or in a similar clinical setting such as hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, or long-term care facilities. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for documentation and patient management. Experience administering IV infusions, injections (including botulinum toxin treatment), and managing complex medication protocols. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques relevant to infusion therapy. Background working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics in senior care or memory care settings is preferred. Critical care experience such as ICU or emergency room exposure is highly valued for handling acute situations efficiently. Ability to perform basic laboratory procedures like phlebotomy or specimen collection when needed.
