Job Description

Phoenix Rising Recovery is currently looking for LVN's to join our detox and residential treatment facility in Palm Desert! The LVN is responsible for providing a variety of nursing services which focus on prevention, treatment, education, and rehabilitation of the physical and mental health of clients. The LVN collaborates as a member of the treatment team to develop and implement effective treatment strategies. Availability, we are currently looking for: Full Time; Swing Shift 3pm-11:30pm
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists with self-administration of medication and records clients vital signs. Conducts initial intake assessments and evaluations, including detox protocols. Ensures accurate documentation of medication and lab orders Observes clients and documents/reports changes in client conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment and takes any necessary action Responsible for the management and organization of medication room, including supply inventory and equipment compliance. Evaluates medical concerns and directs clients to emergency medical care when required. Works with the treatment team and physicians to assess client needs, plan and modify care and implement interventions. Reviews medication logs, conducts medication counts and requests refills as needed. Provides monitoring and supervision of clients to support non-clinical staff. Performs breathalyzer analysis and monitors urine test samples from client. Documents and records results.
Qualifications:
At least 18 years of age. LVN licensure required. Possession of a valid license/certificate of registration issued by the California Board of Nursing. Experience working in a treatment facility preferred. Experience monitoring detox symptoms and working with clients in active substance withdrawal prefered. Ability to work as a team player. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
