Cath Lab Registered Nurse

Category Nursing - RN - Cath Lab Job Type Contract An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in Cath Lab procedures at a leading California hospital. This contract role provides a fast-paced and supportive environment, working within a dynamic team to deliver critical care interventions.

Schedule/Hours:

8- or 12-hour shifts starting at 7:00 AM High need for Mondays and Fridays 1 weeknight of call per week (self-sign up; starts after department closes) 1 full weekend of call every 5 weeks (rotational basis) 30-minute call response time

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Active California RN license BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab nursing experience Proven competency scrubbing cases and maintaining sterile fields Must have experience with PCI; pacemaker support is highly preferred Strong proficiency in Cerner and Merge EMR systems Prefer experience with procedural sedation

Key Responsibilities:

Scrubbing cases and ensuring maintenance of a sterile environment Supporting a variety of cases, including structural procedures, PCIs, EVARs, stents, pacemakers, and related interventions Managing room turnover, patient transport, and clinical documentation Collaborating with a team of experienced RNs and available resource staff Potential floating to Interventional Radiology or the Ambulatory Care Unit as needed Adhering to the department's schedule and on-call rotation, as well as established dress code with provided surgical scrubs
