hiring motivated Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) available to work NIGHTS to join our team at the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Office located in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, and/or Adelanto, CA. Rancho Cucamonga, CA (Detention Center environment)

Duration:

Ongoing, 1-year commitment requested

Schedule:

Night Shift (6p•6:30 with rotating weekends), Day Shift (6a•6:30p with rotating weekends) or Day Shift (7:30a-4p)

Correctional LVN Job Duties What You'll Do:

Work under the supervision of a registered nurse or doctor in a secured facility.

Your Responsibilities will include:

Record a patient's medical history accurately Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc. Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc. Monitor patients' condition including fluid intake and output and compose patient charts Administer injections, prescribed medications, clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks Collect samples for lab testing as assigned

Skills/Qualifications You Have:

IV Therapy/Blood Withdrawal Certification Valid BLS 2 years'+ clinical experience as LVN Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team Familiarity with hospital health, safety and sanitation standards and procedures Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology Good knowledge of MS Office and data entry Perfect physical condition and stamina Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate and able to handle stress Successful completion of LPN license program is required JM Staffing is Joint Commission Certified; when you join our team you'll play a critical role in our quest to provide our client with healthcare professionals looking to take the next step in their careers while providing quality healthcare in San Bernardino County's correctional facilities!
