As an essential member of the surgical team, you will coordinate patient care before, during, and after surgeries, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to sterile techniques. Your expertise will contribute to delivering exceptional patient outcomes in a variety of surgical settings, including trauma centers, pediatric units, and ambulatory surgery centers. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a collaborative and innovative healthcare setting. Responsibilities Prepare the operating room by ensuring all necessary equipment, supplies, and instruments are sterile and ready for use Assist the surgical team by providing necessary instruments and supplies promptly during procedures Monitor and record vital signs and patient responses throughout surgery to ensure stability and safety Maintain strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to prevent contamination Support patient care by positioning patients correctly and ensuring comfort before anesthesia induction Document all relevant information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic or other hospital-specific EMR systems Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate smooth surgical workflows Requirements Proven experience as an OR Circulator or in a similar perioperative role within a hospital setting Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to surgical procedures Hands-on experience with OR equipment, suturing techniques, and aseptic practices Familiarity with hospital medicine, emergency medicine, critical care environments. Ability to collect and analyze data related to patient vitals, surgical outcomes, and infection control measures Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) are preferred Experience working with EMR/EHR systems like HST or other hospital-specific electronic medical records software Excellent communication skills and attention to detail to ensure high-quality patient care in fast-paced environments Embark on a rewarding career where your skills directly impact patient health and recovery.
