Job Description

Where You'll Work Mercy Medical Center Redding offers comprehensive health care to nearly 300,000 residents in a six-county region. It is one of only two Level II trauma centers, the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and the only Joint Commission-certified Advanced Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center north of Sacramento north of Sacramento. Mercy Medical Center Redding is a 266-bed regional medical center providing inpatient and outpatient services as well as specialized cardiovascular care, stroke care, orthopedics, neurological surgery, comprehensive cancer care, maternity care, and a robust robotic surgery program. One California Job Summary and Responsibilities As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.

Formulates a goal directed plan of care that is prioritized and based on nursing diagnosis and desired outcomes Implements care in a knowledgeable, skillful, consistent and continuous manner. Assesses patients' physical, psychosocial, spiritual and learning needs at the preop interview and develops a plan for care Performs documentation on unit and patient records that is timely, accurate and concise Participates in staff orientation and development activities for unit and nursing division personnel as requested Assumes responsibility for professional growth by taking advantage of the available opportunities Participates in unit quality management and PI improvement activities #RN@
DH Job Requirements Minimum Qualifications:
1 year recent PACU experience in an acute care setting and 2 years recent critical care or emergency department experience.
NOTE:
Candidates not meeting the PACU experience requirement may be considered if operational conditions exist to support the training of a candidate and no candidates meeting the experience requirements apply. Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing. Current California nursing license BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications
