Job Description
Where You'll Work Mercy Medical Center Redding offers comprehensive health care to nearly 300,000 residents in a six-county region. It is one of only two Level II trauma centers, the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and the only Joint Commission-certified Advanced Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center north of Sacramento north of Sacramento. Mercy Medical Center Redding is a 266-bed regional medical center providing inpatient and outpatient services as well as specialized cardiovascular care, stroke care, orthopedics, neurological surgery, comprehensive cancer care, maternity care, and a robust robotic surgery program. One California Job Summary and Responsibilities As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.
Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans. Performs routine physical/psychosocial assessment to collect basic data: follows the written plan of care, standards, practice guidelines, utilizes pathways, which includes notifying physicians as appropriate Formulates a plan of care for individual needs, including patient population needs. Participates in the planning of routine transitional health care needs (i.e. treatment options, patient placement options) Adapts planned educational programs and information to individual patients and family by modifying teaching strategies or content. Integrates education during the delivery of patient care Ensures efficiency in the delivery of care to determine immediate priorities and to offer solutions for problems Makes independent clinical decisions based on knowledge drawn from education and experience Actively advocates for patient rights and identifies potential conflict. Seeks counsel for resolution of conflict #RN@

DH Job Requirements Minimum Requirements:
Associate degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing required 1 year recent acute care experience and/or previous nursing practice experience Current California RN license required Verbal and written communication skills and computer skills required Current BLS certification required (must be certified through the American Heart Association) If operationally able, will consider training opportunities for those with less than 1 year of acute experiencePreferred Qualifications:
