Job Description

Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Discover a rewarding contract opportunity as a Certified School Nurse supporting the Extended School Year (ESY) program near Riverside, CA. This position offers a chance to make a positive impact on young learners during the summer session in a vibrant educational environment. As a valued nursing professional, you'll contribute your specialized expertise by conducting preschool assessments, including essential vision and hearing screenings. With a consistent schedule of 20 hours per week, Monday through Thursday from 9 am to 1 pm, you'll maintain work-life balance while helping ensure the health and wellness of students.
Key Qualifications:
Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential is required Current Registered Nurse (RN) license, active and in good standing Experience working in school or pediatric nursing environments preferred Proficiency in administering vision and hearing screenings for preschool-aged children Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate health records Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities for working with children, parents, and educators
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive preschool health assessments for ESY students Administer mandated vision and hearing screenings and accurately document results Collaborate with educators, parents, and school staff to support student health needs Maintain and update health records according to school policies and regulations Provide health education and resource information as needed Promote a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment for young learners This assignment spans from June 16th through July 16th, allowing you to make a meaningful contribution without a long-term commitment.
