Hours/Schedule:
Travel assignment with rotating shifts
Ideal Background:
Current and valid RN license Experience in Medical-Surgical (RN-MS) nursing Solid knowledge of nursing processes and best practices BLS/CPR certification required; additional certifications are highly desirable Adaptability to new environments and diverse patient needs
Key Responsibilities:
Assess patients on admission, considering individual physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs Conduct reassessments in accordance with patient condition and shift requirements, using established nursing processes Develop and update detailed plans of care, integrating input from team and reassessment data Administer oral, topical, and parenteral medications with strict adherence to the 7 rights Document medication effects, patient responses, interventions, and progress towards care goals in a precise and timely manner Perform treatments and procedures per hospital standards, emphasizing patient privacy and safety protocols Educate patients and families using tailored resources such as Krames, ensuring understanding and participation Analyze diagnostic findings and communicate changes in clinical condition using SBAR for all handoffs Comply with national safety goals, hospital infection control, and core measure guidelines Participate in multidisciplinary care planning and quality improvement initiatives Understand disaster response procedures and roles, including
