Job Description
Where You'll Work Welcome to Mark Twain Medical Center , nestled in the breathtaking Sierra foothills, the heart of a vibrant and welcoming community! Every day you will provide total patient care, assist in managing care administered by other staff, and assume responsibility for your assignments, including relief charge nurse duties as needed.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of nursing principles, effectively collaborate with the healthcare team, and take accountability for patient outcomes. Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other practitioners as required and adjust nursing care processes as indicated to unsure optimal patient care Implements patient histories, assesses patient's conditions, and develops individualized care plans for assigned patients. Documents on care plans as patient care evolves, including resolutions of problems Assesses patient educational needs and barriers to learning to implements patient education and documents teaching Administers and controls narcotics and medications accurately and in a timely manner and signs out narcotics and medications according to hospital policy Maintains accurate documentation of patient's progress, nursing care, records and reports Job Requirements Required Graduation from an accredited school of nursing 6 months or more of acute care experience
