PACU / OB

for a 13-week contract at San Diego, California . This is a high-acuity women's health role supporting post-anesthesia care, OB recovery, labor & delivery, and C-section patients . Ideal candidates have strong OB, L&D, PACU, or post-operative nursing experience and are comfortable working night shifts in a fast-paced acute care environment. Key Responsibilities Provide post-anesthesia and post-operative care for OB and surgical patients Monitor patients recovering from vaginal and C-section deliveries Perform patient assessments, care planning, and evaluation Deliver safe, compassionate, and individualized nursing care Administer medications and respond to clinical changes Support labor & delivery and postpartum recovery patients Educate patients and families on recovery and newborn care Collaborate with OB, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary teams Document patient care accurately in compliance with hospital standards Required Qualifications Minimum 3 years of recent RN experience Minimum 2 years of specialty experience (OB, L&D, PACU, or related) Experience with C-section and vaginal delivery recovery preferred Travel nursing experience preferred Licensure & Certifications Active California RN License (Required) BLS (CPR) Certification (Required) ACLS Certification (Required) NRP Certification (Required) Required Skills PACU / Post-Anesthesia Care OB & Labor and Delivery Nursing Postpartum & C-Section Recovery Patient Assessment & Nursing Process Care Planning & Clinical Documentation Patient Education & Discharge Teaching Interdisciplinary Collaboration Patient Advocacy Emergency Response in Acute Care Settings Why Join This Role?
