Daily Range of Responsibilities:
Outpatient Infusion Center /
Cancer Acute Care Clinic Patient Volume:
Approximately 10-12 patients per day
Patient Population:
Adult and adolescent oncology patients
EMR:
Epic Evaluate and manage oncology patients throughout the continuum of care, from diagnosis through treatment Conduct independent patient visits and consultations Manage same-day urgent care and triage patients within the infusion center Assess and treat adverse treatment reactions and oncology-related complications Coordinate direct admissions, transfers, and Emergency Department referrals as appropriate Collaborate with oncologists, APPs, RNs, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic tests and laboratory results Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and symptom management Document patient encounters accurately within Epic EMR Participate in care coordination between outpatient and inpatient oncology services Remove central lines as needed (preferred)
Job Qualifications:
Nurse Practitioner Active California NP license Board Certification required: ACNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, ACNPC-AG, or ACNPC California DEA with Schedule II authority Physician Assistant Active California PA license Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies California DEA with Schedule II authority Required Experience Oncology inpatient experience required OR Combination of infusion center experience with emergency medicine, urgent care, or critical care experience Experience managing oncology patients from diagnosis through treatment Strong clinical decision-making and patient management skills OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) or AOCNP certification (preferred) ACLS certification
Salary Range:
