Our program included a 24 month long training period plus a 24 month employment contract and focuses on experiences in the operating room and recovery room with one-on-one instruction with experienced nurses. We support new peri-operative nurses through their journey to becoming well-rounded, fully competent perioperative registered nurses. We accept a limited number of new graduate RNs and experienced RNs with no OR experience into the Perioperative Nurse Residency Program on a competitive basis. Program participants are hired into paid positions with benefits starting at $30 per hour with biannual raises or with demonstrated competencies. Graduates become key members of the surgical team in circulator or scrub nurse roles. Our surgical services include ENT, general, orthopedic, plastics, urology, gynecology, ophthalmology, spine, podiatry, and pain management. We have dedicated weekday pre-op, PACU, and circulating OR nursing teams. There are no evening or weekend shifts.

Responsibilities:

Performing the duties of the registered nurse before, during, and after the surgical procedure Monitor, address, and document patients' conditions Provide instruments, supply, and equipment requirements for surgical procedures Follow all safety standards Providing communication to all parties involved (patient, surgeon, anesthesia, other staff, etc.) Assisting in the control of inventory supplies and equipment for procedures

Education:

Bachelor Degree, nursing, preferred. Associate Degree, nursing, required.

Qualifications:

Current CPR/BLS, required. Current ACLS, required. Current California Registered Nurse license, required.' '
