One California Job Summary and Responsibilities As a Staff Nurse, you will expertly apply the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to provide safe, therapeutic care for patients of all ages, aligning with our Mission and Core Values.

Every day you will provide total patient care, assist in managing care administered by other staff, and assume responsibility for your assignments, including relief charge nurse duties as needed.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of nursing principles, effectively collaborate with the healthcare team, and take accountability for patient outcomes.
Assessment & Reassessment:
Performs appropriate nursing history and physical assessment upon admission & on an ongoing basis: Ensures that the patient is properly introduced to the unit & his/her surroundings upon arrival in unit. Completes assessment as reflected in nursing notes & admission history. Provides baseline data pertaining to activities of daily living. Reflects physiological condition & psychosocial needs of the patient. Reflects perceptions of patient and/or significant others of his/her problem(s) & his/her expectations of the present hospitalization.
