The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent assessment skills, and a commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality nursing services. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for evaluating patient needs, administering treatments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to promote optimal health outcomes. This role offers an opportunity to work in dynamic environments such as hospitals, outpatient clinics, long-term care facilities, and community health programs. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Monitor patients' physiological status in acute care settings like ICU or trauma centers, managing airway support with ventilators and responding to emergent situations in emergency rooms or Level I Trauma Centers. Coordinate patient care plans through discharge planning, case management, and collaboration with physicians in primary care or specialty areas such as cardiology, ophthalmology, or infectious disease care. Ensure compliance with healthcare standards including NCQA standards for quality assurance and ICD coding for accurate documentation of diagnoses. Provide education on health coaching topics such as pain management, geriatrics, dementia care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities to empower patients in managing their health. Qualifications Valid nursing license (RN) with current registration in the relevant jurisdiction. Proven experience in diverse clinical environments including hospital medicine, medical-surgical units, ICU/CCU, emergency medicine, or outpatient clinics. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner; experience with Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks is a plus. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology essential for accurate patient assessment and documentation. Experience performing advanced procedures such as IV insertion, phlebotomy, ostomy care, or dialysis is preferred. Critical care experience including Level II or Level I Trauma Center exposure highly desirable; familiarity with trauma medicine and acute pain management is advantageous. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, neonatal ventilator patients, or individuals with disabilities across home & community care settings. Excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams while adhering to HIPAA privacy regulations.
