Full-Time, Seasonal (Summer) About Client A well-established outdoor residential summer camp with a tight staff culture and a program built around adventure, structure, and genuine care for every young person on campus. Camper health and safety drive operational decisions, and nurses are treated as essential contributors—not background staff.
Compensation & Benefits Base Salary:
Competitive seasonal rate — Based on experience and qualifications
Relocation Assistance:
Covered for candidates relocating from out of state

Residential, on-site for the full camp season

On-site housing and meals included; hands-on pediatric nursing in an active, outdoor residential community where your clinical work is visible and valued every day Job Summary Take on the primary nursing role at a residential outdoor youth camp for an entire summer season— delivering clinical care, keeping health documentation tight, and staying connected with families and leadership throughout. Key Responsibilities Deliver front-line medical care covering first aid, medication administration, and emergency response across the season Keep medical records, daily health logs, and incident reports complete, confidential, and current at all times Screen campers during check-in and monitor health on an ongoing basis as the summer progresses Reach out to parents and guardians about health concerns in a timely, professional, and reassuring manner Work in step with camp leadership to maintain and strengthen campus health and safety standards throughout the program Minimum Requirements Active RN license or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) multistate license in good standing Valid CPR and First Aid certification Available and willing to live on-site for the complete duration of the camp season Brings a positive, team-first attitude to a communal environment where everyone lives and works in close quarters Ideal Qualifications Nursing background in pediatrics, school health, or a prior camp environment Confident practicing with clinical independence away from the support structures of a hospital or clinic Willing to cross state lines for the right summer opportunity How to Apply At Rio Staffing , we specialize in connecting skilled professionals with well-run organizations and high-quality programs.
