1 Description American Traveler is seeking a PTA for a 13-week home health assignment in a post-acute care setting, requiring 2+ years of experience and active state licensure. Details Post-acute home health setting covering assigned geographical regions including Marian and Arroyo Grande areas Unit serves PT, OT, and Speech therapy patients Common diagnoses include orthopedic injuries, strokes, joint and spinal injuries, and speech-related conditions Cerner EMR used for documentation and charting Flexible schedule with the majority of hours Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm 8-hour day shifts Weekend coverage required every third weekend Holiday coverage required for minor holidays, and major holidays as needed 13-week contract Requirements Active state or compact (NLC) PTA license required at time of consideration; pending licenses will not be accepted — license required if applicable Current BLS certification required; pending certifications will not be accepted Minimum 2 years of experience as a PTA At least 1 year of experience in PT, OT, or speech therapy required Experience with OASIS (government-mandated documentation) required Home health setting experience preferred but not required Driver's license required for consideration 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire Additional Information Provide rehabilitative care to patients with conditions such as orthopedic injuries, strokes, joint and spinal injuries, and speech-related diagnoses Orientation is approximately 1.5 to 2 weeks Business attire with a white lab coat is required; jeans are not permitted Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates previously employed PRN through outside firms will be considered
