13 Weeks Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in Santa Rosa, California. This opportunity is with a busy acute care hospital and is ideal for OR nurses with strong trauma experience and the ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment. Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to surgical patients throughout the perioperative process Assist surgeons and procedural teams during surgical procedures Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with infection prevention standards Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and surgical instruments Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, surgical techs, and interdisciplinary teams Document patient care accurately within the EMR system Respond effectively in emergency and trauma surgical situations Requirements Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience Required experience in: Trauma Neuro Vascular Orthopedic surgery Active BLS certification required Strong critical thinking and communication skills Epic charting experience preferred First-time travelers accepted Schedule & Additional Information Day shift schedule with variable start times (7:00 AM or 9:00 AM) Weekend requirement applies On-call required and shared equally among staff Approximately 6-8 call shifts every 6 weeks Includes nights, evenings, weekends, and holiday coverage as needed Travelers may be required to cover one night shift during the assignment Floating to similar units may be required based on facility needs Block scheduling available at manager discretion For more details reach at or Call / Text at 732 791 4807
