Job Description

Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Make a difference this summer by supporting students in a dynamic school setting! This contract opportunity near Simi Valley, CA is ideal for a Credentialed School Nurse (RN) who is compassionate and adaptable, with experience in schools and a commitment to delivering high-quality care across multiple sites. You will work directly with both medically complex students enrolled in ESY at a dedicated campus, and general education students attending various summer programs. Your expertise and attention to detail will ensure students' well-being and facilitate a safe learning environment during their summer sessions.
Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California. Credentialed School Nurse certification (required). Previous experience as an RN in a school environment preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to adapt to different sites and varying student needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide nursing care to medically complex and general education students across multiple campus locations. Administer medications, manage health plans, and respond to health emergencies. Document health information and communicate effectively with staff, students, and families. Work scheduled dates between 7 am - 2 pm for both ESY (June 11, 26, 29; July 6, 7, 13, 14) and General Education (July 20, 24, 27, 29) sessions. Maintain a safe and healthy environment while collaborating with school teams. This summer assignment offers variety, meaningful connections, and the satisfaction of helping students thrive.
