Critical Need Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a critical need travel assignment. The ideal candidate will possess strong cardiac monitoring skills and experience caring for adult patients requiring continuous telemetry observation. This role involves assessing, monitoring, and treating patients with cardiac and medical conditions while collaborating closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients on a telemetry unit. Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and promptly identify and respond to arrhythmias or changes in patient condition. Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans. Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies according to physician orders and facility protocols. Interpret telemetry data and communicate significant findings to the healthcare team. Monitor vital signs, laboratory results, and patient responses to treatment. Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR). Collaborate with physicians, case managers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Adhere to infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards. Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where care is provided. Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification. Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification. Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification. Completion of a Basic Arrhythmia Course . Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Minimum 1 year of recent full-time Telemetry nursing experience within the last 3 years . Strong knowledge of cardiac monitoring, rhythm interpretation, and acute patient care. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or related field. Previous experience in acute care, telemetry, step-down, or cardiac units. Experience with electronic medical records and telemetry monitoring systems. Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills. Clinical Skills & Experience Cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring. Management of patients with cardiac, respiratory, and medical-surgical conditions. IV therapy and medication administration. Rapid recognition and response to clinical deterioration. Patient and family education. Interdisciplinary collaboration and care coordination. GA01
