Job Description
Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact as an RN in the Operating Room, providing essential support to patients and families in a collaborative, fast-paced surgical setting. This contract position is ideal for a skilled OR nurse seeking opportunities to use critical thinking and specialized nursing knowledge while working alongside a dedicated healthcare team.
Schedule/Hours:
Day shift 2-8 hour on-call shifts every 4 weeks (30-minute response time required)Desired Qualifications:
Active CA RN license BLS (CPR) and NRP certifications Three years of recent nursing experience, with at least two years in an OR or specialty environment Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills Ability to complete an OR-specific pre-submission questionnaireKey Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized, holistic care tailored to each patient and family's needs and goals during the perioperative process Implement the complete nursing process, including detailed assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation to safely guide patient recovery Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to manage complex or high-risk clinical scenarios, seeking additional resources as necessary Serve as a patient and family advocate, ensuring high-quality, satisfying care and clear communication throughout every phase of treatment Participate in patient care conferences and communicate evolving patient and family needs to the care team Address educational needs through thoughtful, adult-learning-based plans tailored to each patient and family Recognize and adapt to communication barriers, integrating interdisciplinary expertise to maintain therapeutic relationships Delegate responsibilities appropriately and coordinate care with team members to optimize outcomes and workflow If you excel in high-acuity environments and are committed to advancing patient-centered surgical care, we invite you to submit your application today.
