Job Description

Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a key role supporting student wellness as a part time school nurse for the upcoming academic year, from August 2026 through June 2027. This rewarding contract opportunity involves caring for students in a supportive school environment near Temecula, CA. You'll use your clinical expertise to address health concerns, administer medications, and carry out important health screenings.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in California Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred Ability to complete a criminal background check and TB risk assessment within 60 days prior to the assignment Strong communication skills and a compassionate, child-centered approach Must serve as a mandated reporter of child abuse according to California law Organizational skills to document and manage health information and medication logs
Key Responsibilities:
Support the health office and provide first aid to students and staff as needed Administer student medications in compliance with physician instructions and school policy Conduct state-mandated hearing and vision screenings for students at designated grade levels Communicate with students, families, and staff regarding health plans and health education needs Maintain up-to-date records and comply with all district, state, and legal requirements Participate in wellness initiatives and respond to emergencies or urgent health concerns As part of this assignment, you'll enjoy the advantage of competitive weekly pay—a great way to earn while making a direct impact in the community.
