Job Description

Job Type:
Part-Time (Maximum 8 hours per month)
About Us:
We are a dedicated organization seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team. In our Enhanced Program, we provide a supportive and structured environment for individuals with severe physical and cognitive disabilities. This role is essential in ensuring the highest standard of care, facilitating program objectives, and making a positive impact on the lives of those we serve.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct nursing care, health monitoring, and emergency response. Conduct assessments, administer medications, and implement physician orders in compliance with DDS and state regulations. Maintain accurate documentation, including MARs, progress notes, and incident reports. Collaborate on Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and restricted health care plans. Train and support staff on health-related procedures and infection control. Assist with personal care needs and advocate for participant dignity and autonomy.
Qualifications and Skills:
Required Licensure:
Must hold a current, active, and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
Experience:
Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a similar long-term care or day program setting is highly preferred.
Certifications:
Current CPR and First Aid certification is mandatory.
Knowledge Base:
Strong understanding of state and DDS regulations pertaining to medication administration and healthcare provision in a residential or day program setting is preferred.
Attributes:
Compassionate, dedicated, detail-oriented, and possessing strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
Physical Ability:
Must be able to assist participants with physical mobility and personal care needs as required by their care plans.
