As we expand our Health and Nursing Services (HNS) program, we are seeking an experienced Credentialed School Nurse or Public Health Registered Nurse to help develop, lead, and grow this exciting new service line. This is a unique opportunity to help shape a program from the ground up while also providing direct support to school districts throughout Southern California. Position Summary The Public Health RN will serve as both a clinical leader and program developer for our growing Health and Nursing Services division. This role combines direct school-based nursing support with leadership responsibilities, including program development, staff oversight, interviewing, training, and operational planning. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, collaborative, and excited about helping build a best-in-class nursing program that serves students with diverse medical and educational needs. Essential ResponsibilitiesSchool-Based Nursing Services Provide nursing services in accordance with student IEPs, Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs), and district requirements. Support students with specialized health needs in educational settings. Collaborate with school personnel, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure student success. Participate in IEP meetings and provide nursing recommendations as needed. Ensure compliance with applicable educational, nursing, and healthcare regulations. Program Development & Leadership Assist in designing and implementing ABA Therapy Partners' Health and Nursing Services program. Develop policies, procedures, and clinical best practices. Participate in recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and supervision of nursing personnel. Support business development efforts by collaborating with school districts and special education leaders. Help establish quality assurance standards and clinical oversight processes. Serve as a subject matter expert for nursing services within school settings. Team Support & Clinical Oversight Mentor and support nursing staff and related personnel. Assist with training initiatives and professional development programs. Support compliance, documentation, and credentialing requirements. Provide consultation regarding student health needs and service delivery models. QualificationsRequired Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. California School Nurse Services Credential or Public Health Nursing Certification. Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience. Experience working with pediatric populations. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation. Preferred Experience in school nursing or special education settings. Experience supervising or mentoring staff. Knowledge of IEP processes and educational systems. Experience developing programs, policies, or operational workflows.
