The RN will play a key role in patient assessment, treatment preparation, procedural support, patient education, and post-procedure care. This position requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. Monday through Friday, regular hours, no weekends or nights. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Clinical Patient Care Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history review, vital signs, and medication reconciliation. Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during office-based vein and vascular procedures. Preoperative assessments and post-treatment follow up Assess and manage patient concerns, and treatment outcomes. Apply and educate patients on compression therapy and post-procedure care. Patient Education & Communication Educate patients regarding vein disease, treatment options, procedural expectations, and recovery instructions. Provide detailed pre- and post-treatment guidance to optimize outcomes and patient satisfaction. Respond to patient questions, concerns, and follow-up inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Serve as a patient advocate while maintaining a high standard of customer service. Procedural Support Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all equipment and supplies are available and functioning properly. Maintain sterile technique and infection control standards during procedures. Sterile prep for procedure Assist with ultrasound-guided procedures, sclerotherapy, endovenous ablation, phlebectomy, and other vein treatments as needed. Document procedural details and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR). Care Coordination & Administration Coordinate patient scheduling, referrals, follow-up appointments, and treatment plans. Assist in scheduling of procedures. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Participate in quality assurance and patient safety initiatives. Assist with inventory management and clinical supply ordering. Qualifications Required Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. Current BLS certification. Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in an outpatient, procedural, surgical, vascular, dermatology, cosmetic, or related clinical setting. Knowledge of sterile procedures. Strong clinical assessment and patient education skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR). Preferred Experience in vein, vascular, interventional, dermatology, cosmetic, or surgical practice. ACLS certification. Experience assisting with minimally invasive office-based procedures. Ultrasound or vascular experience. Skills & Competencies Exceptional patient care and bedside manner. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Attention to detail and commitment to clinical excellence. Professionalism, reliability, and adaptability. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds. Ability to apply compression stockings on patients. Manual dexterity sufficient to assist with clinical procedures and patient care.
