CPR Full Job Description Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing services to participants in an adult day care setting. The RN ensures high-quality care by assessing health needs, developing and implementing care plans, administering medications and treatments, and promoting participants' overall health, safety, and well-being. The RN also provides health education and support to participants, families, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Care & Supervision Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments upon enrollment and at regular intervals. Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility policy. Monitor and document participant health status, reporting changes promptly to physicians and families. Provide first aid and emergency care as needed. Oversee infection control, medication management, and health/safety compliance. Coordination & Communication Collaborate with physicians, social workers, therapists, and caregivers to coordinate participant care. Communicate effectively with families and caregivers regarding health concerns and care needs. Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential medical records. Education & Training Educate participants and caregivers on disease management, medication use, and healthy lifestyle practices. Train and supervise program aides and staff in health-related procedures, such as vital signs, personal care, and emergency response. Regulatory Compliance Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations governing adult day care programs. Participate in quality assurance activities and assist with audits, inspections, and surveys. Maintain current licensure and continuing education requirements.
Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ADN or BSN preferred).
Licensure:
Current RN license in [State].
Experience:
Minimum 1-2 years of nursing experience; experience in geriatrics, community health, or long-term care preferred.
Certifications:
CPR/BLS required; First Aid and infection control training preferred.
Skills:
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills; ability to work effectively with older adults and interdisciplinary teams.
