Job Description
Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a pivotal role supporting student wellness as a Registered Nurse for an arts-focused school community. This contract opportunity is designed for professionals who value flexibility and are passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of both General Education 8th graders and Special Education students. You'll work a highly adaptable schedule—totaling about 20 hours across the full school year—so you can balance your personal and professional commitments with ease. The assignment runs from August 10, 2026 through May 27, 2027.
Qualifications & Experience:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required—must be current and in good standing Experience working in a school environment strongly preferred Comfortable managing health needs across a diverse caseload, including Special Education students Independent, self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision (no on-site training will be provided) Excellent communication and organizational abilitiesKey Responsibilities:
Conduct vision, hearing, and scoliosis screenings for students Provide general nursing care and manage day-to-day health needs on campus Maintain accurate health records in compliance with regulations and school policies Collaborate with staff and administration to ensure student health and safety Serve as a point of contact for health-related concerns, supporting both students and parents You'll find satisfaction knowing you're ensuring a safe, healthy learning environment for students through critical screenings and compassionate support.
