Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Contract Advance your nursing career by contributing your expertise in the Operating Room with this contract opportunity. The position is ideal for a Registered Nurse skilled in perioperative procedures, supporting patient care through all phases of surgery.
Key Qualifications:
Active, unrestricted RN license. Current BLS and ACLS certifications. Minimum of one year previous experience as an OR RN. Comprehensive knowledge of surgical instruments, aseptic technique, and infection control standards. Strong communication and critical thinking skills. Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
Role Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care during pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases. Prepare the operating room by setting up surgical instruments and equipment. Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs to ensure optimal outcomes. Monitor patient status throughout procedures, anticipating needs and changes. Uphold the highest standards in maintaining a sterile environment and following all safety protocols. Accurately document care provided and communicate with the perioperative team. Respond promptly to emergency situations with calm and efficient interventions.
