Select Medical Keyword Location Search view all jobs Clinical Liaison (RN or RT) - Per-Diem Youngstown, OH Posted yesterday Apply Now Overview Clinical Liaison ( RN / RRT ) Select Specialty Hospital - Boardman Critical Illness Recovery Hospital (LTACH) PRN A day in the life You'll advocate for referred patients in the pre-admission process by collaborating with clinical teams to assess patient needs. You will serve as a resource for healthcare professionals through fostering relationships within medical facilities. With clinical expertise and problem-solving skills, you'll also coordinate care plans with physicians and families. Additionally, you will facilitate patient transfers and address barriers to accessing specialized post-ICU care. Responsibilities What a Clinical Liaison Does You'll be a champion of The Select Medical Way, which includes: putting the patient first, helping to improve quality of life for the community in which you live and work, developing and exploring new ideas, providing high-quality care, and doing well by doing what is right.

Key Responsibilities:

You will work with physicians, discharge planners, and patients' families to plan the best continuum of care after an ICU or post-surgical stay by utilizing your strong clinical background, payer knowledge, and problem-solving skills. Perform clinical assessments of referred patients, then counsel with patients' families to assist them in making the best care decisions for their loved one. Partner with hospital case managers and physicians to create a smooth pre-admission and transfer process through removing payer-related and operational barriers for patients getting into our highly effective level of care. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Registered Nurse or Respiratory Therapist. Preferred Experience Two years of related experience working in a clinical healthcare setting or previous experience working in a clinical liaison role are preferred. Demonstrated competency with the preadmission process, including assessments and relationship building in a rehabilitation setting or in another post-acute care setting, is preferred. Proven track record in sales and marketing with a least one year of experience in a related position preferred. Demonstrated computer proficiency. Must exercise sound judgment in handling the professional/confidential nature of health care sales.
