Category Nursing - RN - Cath Lab Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse skilled in cardiac catheterization procedures to support invasive cardiovascular care. This contract role offers a 4-day workweek with 10-hour shifts and requires weekend availability. On-call duties are shared, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with a 30-minute response expectation.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical and patient care support during cardiac catheterization laboratory procedures. Assist physicians with radiological imaging and maintain sterile fields as a scrub assistant. Operate imaging equipment and document procedural images and events in the control room. Educate patients and their families on procedure expectations, pre- and post-procedure care. Maintain cleanliness and order within the unit, ensuring adequate stock for interventions. Accurately complete documentation including daily notes, progress, and discharge details. Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives by identifying potential hazards and recommending process enhancements. Uphold organizational mission, vision, values, and service standards. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

Active RN license (single state or compact). Minimum of 1 year of experience in cardiac catheterization or related nursing. BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA-approved) required. Ability to respond within 30 minutes when on-call.
