1 Description American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an OR position at a Level II Trauma Center in Colorado, requiring trauma and neuro experience with a Friday-Sunday day shift schedule. Details Acute care hospital OR setting with 16 suites averaging 30 cases per day Common case types include General, ENT, Neuro, Spine, Ortho, and Robotics Level II Trauma Center Day shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM, Friday through Sunday, with 12-hour shifts On-call requirement of approximately 120 hours per 13-week contract, shared in rotation with staff Call response time is 30 minutes Charge nurse and house supervisor present on every shift; 2 OR techs on shift per day Charge nurse experience is preferred but not required RNs are not required to scrub Floating may be required in cases of extreme need within the regional zone Travelers are expected to secure housing that allows them to meet floating zone requirements Epic EMR used in this position Unit-specific orientation provided (12 hours) Requirements Active CO RN license or Compact (NLC) RN license currently in hand — pending licenses are not accepted Current BLS certification (AHA) required — pending certifications are not accepted Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required Trauma and neuro OR experience required Candidate must reside at least 60 miles from the facility, verified by driver's license Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire Valid driver's license required for consideration Additional Information Scrubs are provided by the facility Candidates must be on-site for the full week of orientation, even if initial modules are completed remotely 4th of July holiday coverage is preferred Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year are not eligible — those placed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered A unit manager interview is part of the hiring process
