Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as an Infection Preventionist Wound Care Nurse RN, where you will play a vital role in safeguarding patient health through expert infection control and wound management. This dynamic position combines clinical nursing skills with leadership in infection prevention, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients across diverse healthcare settings. You will utilize your extensive knowledge to develop and implement effective care plans, monitor patient progress, and uphold the highest standards of aseptic technique and documentation review. Your proactive approach will help foster a culture of safety, compliance, and excellence in patient care. Responsibilities Lead infection prevention initiatives by developing, implementing, and evaluating infection control policies aligned with OSHA and HIPAA regulations. Conduct comprehensive patient observations and monitoring to identify early signs of infection or wound deterioration, utilizing your expertise in physiology and medical terminology. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and update individualized care plans focused on wound healing and infection control strategies. Manage data collection and analysis related to infection rates, wound outcomes, and compliance metrics to inform quality improvement efforts. Educate staff on aseptic techniques, best practices for infection prevention and wound care management. Review medical records meticulously to ensure accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment interventions, and adherence to care protocols. Experience Proven critical care experience in fast-paced healthcare settings. Prior experience working in assisted living facilities or medical-surgical units with a focus on wound management. Leadership experience in managing care teams or leading quality improvement initiatives related to infection control or wound care programs. Ability to adapt quickly to evolving public health guidelines while maintaining high standards of patient observation and monitoring.
Pay:
$87,000.00 - $98,000.00 per year
