Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Staff Development Coordinator / Infection Preventionist Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. This vital role combines staff education, professional development, and infection prevention initiatives to ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety. As a key leader in fostering a culture of continuous improvement, you will oversee training programs, monitor infection control practices, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Your expertise will help create a safe, efficient environment that promotes excellence in patient outcomes and staff growth. Duties Develop, implement, and evaluate staff development programs focused on clinical skills, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance. Conduct ongoing education sessions on topics such as aseptic techniques, microbiology, epidemiology, and public health best practices. Monitor infection control protocols across all departments, ensuring adherence to OSHA standards and HIPAA regulations. Lead infection prevention efforts by analyzing data collection related to infectious disease trends, patient observation, and care plans. Review medical records and documentation to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with healthcare standards. Collaborate with management to design care plans that incorporate physiology knowledge, anatomy understanding, and medical terminology. Facilitate patient monitoring activities and oversee the management of patient observation protocols in acute care settings including Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers. Manage data management systems for tracking infection rates, staff training completion, and compliance metrics. Provide leadership in infection control initiatives by reviewing microbiology reports and implementing evidence-based strategies to reduce infection risks. Experience Proven experience as a registered nurse with a strong background in critical care environments such as hospital settings or assisted living facilities. Extensive knowledge of infectious disease care, microbiology, epidemiology, and public health principles. Demonstrated expertise in medical-surgical nursing practices within acute care or trauma center environments. Prior experience in management or leadership roles involving staff training or quality improvement initiatives. Familiarity with healthcare data management systems for data collection, analysis, and reporting purposes. Strong understanding of medical records review processes, documentation review standards, and patient safety protocols. Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to healthcare environments and infection control policies. Pay:

$85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
