Category Nursing - RN - CVOR Job Type Contract Step into a vital nursing role where your expertise in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) care will be valued and essential to patient outcomes. This contract opportunity involves direct patient care, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and support for overall wellness in a dynamic environment. Schedule/Hours Contract position (exact shifts discussed during interview) May include on-call responsibilities Flexibility to float to other departments as needed
Qualifications & Experience:
Current, unrestricted RN license Specialized experience in CVOR nursing required Thorough understanding of perioperative nursing principles and cardiovascular procedures Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills Ability to function independently and exercise sound clinical judgment Effective communicator, both written and verbal Capable of adapting to changing priorities and patient needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform independent nursing duties and delegated medical actions per professional standards Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in CVOR settings Monitor health status via continuous data assessment Provide patient education, counseling, and therapeutic interventions Oversee and revise treatment and therapy plans as needed Maintain detailed, compliant documentation in accordance with regulatory guidelines Utilize resources effectively to support patient care and department operations Support organizational mission and uphold professional service standards Participate in cross-training and provide support to other nursing departments when necessary Respond to patient needs by coordinating further evaluation or specialized treatments If you thrive in high-acuity surgical environments and bring expertise in cardiovascular perioperative nursing, this is your opportunity to make a difference.
