Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide expert patient care across diverse clinical settings, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal health outcomes. Your expertise will support a wide range of medical services, from acute care to long-term and community-based care, empowering patients through personalized treatment plans and compassionate communication. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories. Administer medications and injections with precision, including IV infusions and immunizations such as botulinum toxin treatments. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks to document patient care accurately and efficiently. Assist with complex procedures such as catheterization, suturing, tube feeding, and ventilator management while maintaining strict aseptic techniques. Coordinate patient care plans through case management, discharge planning, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in settings such as hospitals, clinics, assisted living facilities, or home care environments. Conduct diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection/processing and basic medical imaging procedures like sonography or mammography when applicable. Support emergency response efforts by triaging patients in urgent care or emergency room settings and managing acute pain or trauma cases in Level I or Level II trauma centers. Educate patients and families on health coaching topics including geriatrics, dementia or Alzheimer's care, hospice & palliative medicine, and chronic disease management. Requirements Valid RN license in good standing with the appropriate state licensing board. Proven experience working in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine, ICU/CCU/PCU units, emergency medicine, or outpatient clinics. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9 & ICD-10), CPT coding for procedures, and HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation. Critical care experience preferred; familiarity with trauma medicine at Level I or Level II trauma centers is a plus. Skilled in advanced nursing procedures including IV insertion/infusion, phlebotomy, sterile processing techniques, and infection control protocols. Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays across settings such as memory care or behavioral health units. Excellent communication skills for patient assessment and education across pediatric to geriatric populations; experience working with children is advantageous. Knowledge of occupational health standards and experience managing infectious disease cases is desirable.
