This opportunity is ideal for nurses with strong PACU, ICU, or Emergency Department experience who are passionate about providing exceptional post-anesthesia care and ensuring safe patient recovery following surgical procedures.

Epic Trauma Level:
Level I Trauma Center Responsibilities Provide comprehensive post-anesthesia nursing care to patients recovering from surgical and procedural interventions. Perform ongoing patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and identify changes in patient condition. Manage airway support, pain control, and post-operative recovery needs. Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry findings. Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols. Care for patients recovering from orthopedic, trauma, cardiac, urology, pulmonary, and gastrointestinal procedures. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Recover ICU-level patients requiring close monitoring and advanced nursing care. Educate patients and families regarding post-operative recovery and discharge instructions. Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the Epic electronic medical record system. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and evidence-based clinical practices. Requirements Active RN License Minimum 2 Years of Recent Acute Care RN Experience Previous PACU Experience Required ICU or Emergency Department Experience Strongly Preferred Current BLS Certification (AHA) Current ACLS Certification (AHA) Current PALS Certification (AHA) Strong Post-Anesthesia Recovery Skills Experience with Cardiac Monitoring and Rhythm Interpretation Ability to care for high-acuity post-operative patients Previous Travel Nursing Experience Preferred Unit Information 22-
