Full Job Description Clinical Nurse Location:
Englewood/Parker Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse to join our fertility clinic team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in reproductive health, patient care, and medical procedures related to in vitro fertilization treatments. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care, patient education, and support throughout the fertility treatment process, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and comfort. The IVF Nurse will work closely with physicians, embryologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver personalized care tailored to each patient's needs. Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic and Cerner is preferred, along with a solid understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology relevant to reproductive medicine. Responsibilities Administer medications including injections, hormone therapies, and other treatments following physician orders Perform patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and physical examinations related to fertility treatments Assist with procedures such as oocyte retrievals, embryo transfers, and ultrasound-guided interventions Maintain sterile technique during invasive procedures to prevent infection Educate patients on treatment protocols, medication administration, lifestyle modifications, and post-treatment care Document all patient interactions accurately in EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner Monitor patients for adverse reactions or complications such as acute pain or allergic responses Manage laboratory specimen collection and processing for diagnostic evaluation Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient records Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians specializing in reproductive endocrinology, embryology, and nursing staff to optimize patient outcomes Participate in quality assurance activities adhering to NCQA standards and infection control protocols Experience Proven nursing experience in reproductive health or fertility clinics preferred; experience in hospital medicine or ICU settings is advantageous Familiarity with advanced medical procedures such as ultrasound-guided injections, catheterization (including oocyte retrieval), and aseptic techniques Knowledge of medication administration including IV infusion, injections, and sedation protocols Experience working with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner is highly desirable Background in managing complex cases involving assisted reproductive technologies (ART), including IVF cycles and long-term care management for patients undergoing fertility treatments Competence in handling sensitive patient situations involving emotional support during infertility journeys Additional experience in areas such as obstetrics/gynecology, neonatal intensive care (NICU), or pediatric care can be beneficial for comprehensive patient management Join our dedicated team committed to helping individuals achieve their family-building goals through expert reproductive healthcare.
