This opportunity is ideal for nursing professionals who are passionate about perioperative care, patient safety, and delivering exceptional outcomes throughout the surgical experience. About the Role The Operating Room RN plays a critical role in supporting surgical procedures and ensuring patients receive safe, high-quality care before, during, and after surgery. Working closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals, this position requires strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and excellent teamwork skills. Responsibilities Conduct preoperative patient assessments and prepare patients for surgical procedures Verify patient information, surgical procedures, and operative sites in accordance with established safety protocols Administer medications, intravenous therapies, and prescribed treatments Assist with patient positioning, surgical preparation, and perioperative care activities Support surgical teams during procedures while maintaining a sterile and safe environment Monitor patient status and respond appropriately to changes in condition Participate in surgical safety protocols, including procedure verification and operative time-outs Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate care Educate patients and family members regarding procedures, recovery expectations, and postoperative care Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and quality improvement initiatives throughout the surgical process Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure Graduate of an accredited nursing program Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Previous perioperative or operating room nursing experience preferred Advanced life support certifications preferred or ability to obtain Strong critical-thinking, organizational, and communication skills Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment Benefits Competitive compensation package Health, dental, and vision coverage Retirement savings opportunities Paid time off and leave programs Continuing education and certification assistance Professional development and advancement opportunities Employee wellness resources How to Apply Qualified candidates are encouraged to submit their resume to: Please complete the online application to be considered.
