1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position in an acute care hospital setting, requiring active Cath Lab experience and on-call availability including weekends and holidays. Details Acute care hospital setting with a combined Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology (IR) lab (2 suites) Common patient diagnoses include STEMI, NSTEMI, pacemaker implantation, and IR cases Averages approximately 4 cases per day acrossCath and IR EMR:
Epic; equipment includes MacLab and Siemens imaging systems Day shift, 10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM- 4:30 PM; four shifts per week Weeknight call approximately 10 shifts per month Weekend call (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) required approximately every 3rd weekend Holiday call is required and shared among staff — one major summer holiday and one major winter holiday Call response time is 30 minutes Floating may be required within the zone in cases of extreme need Requirements Active CO RN license or Compact (NLC) license currently in hand — pending licenses are not accepted Current AHA-issued BLS and ACLS certifications required — pending certifications are not accepted Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Cath Lab experience is required IR experience is preferred; willingness to learn IR procedures will be considered Epic EMR experience required Candidate must reside more than 60 miles from the facility — a valid driver's license will be used to verify permanent address Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire Valid driver's license required for consideration Additional Information Responsibilities include circulating and monitoring cases, pre•and post-procedure care, and pre•and post-procedure patient phone calls Cardiologist is in-house during the day and available on call overnight Scrubs are provided (facility-issued blues) Orientation consists of a 12-hour onboarding period completed over a couple of weekdays following system-wide orientation; candidates must be physically present in state for the orientation week even if initial modules are completed remotely Candidates may not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity-affiliated facility within the past year; candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered Travelers are expected to float within their assigned zone and are responsible for securing housing that allows them to meet this requirement
