Job Description
A hospital in Montrose is seeking an experienced Family Center Registered Nurse to join its maternity services team. This night shift role offers the opportunity to provide care across the full spectrum of women's and newborn health, supporting patients and families through labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and newborn care. Position Overview The Family Center RN provides comprehensive nursing care across Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery units. This position involves guiding patients through childbirth, supporting recovery after delivery, and monitoring newborns to ensure safe and healthy outcomes. The role requires adaptability, clinical expertise, and a compassionate approach to family-centered care. Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care across Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery settings. Support patients through labor, birth, and immediate post-delivery recovery. Monitor maternal and newborn health status and respond to clinical changes. Assist with newborn assessments and ongoing nursery care. Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery and newborn care. Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary team members. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Promote a safe, supportive, and family-centered care environment. Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, or Nursery nursing. Active Registered Nurse license in good standing. Strong clinical judgment, communication, and assessment skills. Ability to work effectively across multiple areas of maternity care.
