1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced Perioperative/PACU RN for a 13-week contract in Pagosa Springs, CO, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and proficiency with Cerner EHR. Details Outpatient surgical setting serving perioperative and post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) patients Surgical specialties include orthopedics, general surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, ENT, interventional pain management, and gastroenterology/endoscopy Perioperative RN may serve in the role of Circulating Nurse, 1st Scrub (Instrument) Nurse, or 2nd Scrub (Assistant) Nurse depending on experience and training Uses Cerner EHR Weekday schedule with a choice of five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts per week 13-week contract Requirements Active CO or Compact RN license currently in good standing Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA) CNOR certification required Minimum 2 years of perioperative nursing experience Experience in orthopedic, general surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, ENT, interventional pain management, and gastroenterology/endoscopy procedures required Cerner EHR experience required Graduate of an accredited RN program (BSN preferred but not required) Additional Information Responsible for coordinating safe, effective, and patient/family-centered care across all phases of the perioperative process: pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative Acts as a liaison between the surgical team and patient families/support systems Works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary surgical team DOB and SSN may be required for consideration
