1 Description American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a combined Acute Inpatient/Swing Bed and Emergency Department Charge Nurse role at a Critical Access Hospital in Southeast Colorado, requiring active CO or compact RN licensure and TNCC certification. Details Critical Access Hospital setting serving acute inpatient, swing bed, and emergency department patients Patient population includes those with acute, chronic, and complex disease processes across a range of developmental and sociocultural backgrounds Night shift schedule: 6p-6a, 3 shifts per week (36 hrs/wk) with potential for overtime Holiday coverage required as needed Charting via T-System in the Emergency Department Requirements Active CO RN license or compact RN license currently in good standing required Minimum 1 year of RN experience required Required certifications: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC Must be able to manage a dynamic, fast-paced environment with patients experiencing acute, chronic, and complex disease processes Strong oral and written English communication skills required Additional Information Serves as Charge Nurse, directly supervising LPNs, CNAs, and ward clerks Responsibilities span both the inpatient/swing bed unit and the Emergency Department on the same shift Conducts ongoing patient assessments, develops and implements individualized care plans, and evaluates patient outcomes Coordinates interdisciplinary care and communicates patient status changes to the full care team, patients, and families Performs patient and family education based on assessed learning needs Participates in performance improvement and risk management activities Requires adherence to all applicable PPE standards for exposure to infectious materials and hazardous substances 13-week contract
