Schedule:

36hrs/ week-variable Shift starts and Day of week per volume and unit needs. TBD During interviews with Unit manager. Call Required. Preop and PACU staff are cross trained to work both areas, and do Preop and PACU for both Surgery and GI Lab. Preop # beds: 13 rooms PACU # beds: 19 bays (split, 10 North PACU, 9 South PACU) Cases/day (average): about 40 surgeries, 15 GI, and 30 Pain Clinic / Day Scheduling details: Variable schedule (no self-scheduling). Call is in addition to regularly scheduled hours. We schedule cases Monday-Friday 0730-1930. Nights, weekends, and holidays are call shifts for urgent/emergent cases. We try to work with staff but will meet the needs of the department to cover ALL shifts and subject to change depending on department volume. The 0600 shifts float the most.
