In this vital role, you will provide specialized nursing care to individuals experiencing mental health challenges, ensuring their safety, comfort, and recovery through comprehensive assessment, intervention, and support. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in psychiatric nursing, demonstrate excellent patient assessment skills, and be committed to delivering high-quality mental health services in a dynamic clinical environment. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while working within a collaborative and supportive team. Responsibilities Conduct thorough mental health assessments, including evaluating patient history, current symptoms, and risk factors. Develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with best practices and patient needs. Administer medications as prescribed, including psychiatric medications and other relevant treatments such as botulinum toxin treatments when applicable. Monitor patient progress, document clinical observations accurately in electronic health records (EHR systems), and adjust care plans accordingly. Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques to ensure patient safety during acute episodes. Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care. Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, medication management, and coping strategies. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of all patient information. Participate in staff training sessions on topics such as trauma-informed care, infectious disease control, or dementia care as needed. Support discharge planning by preparing patients for transition back into the community or long-term care settings. Required Qualifications RN-License BLS and
